Soon the Chinese New Year will be upon us. The energy of the shifts from silver metal Ox to the black waterTiger. How very different the energy of the Ox from that of the Tiger. Dwight born in 1938 is a yellow earthTiger. Tigers and monkeys, which I am according to this tradition, do not seem compatible but we have had many happy years together sharing the highs and lows of BEing human.
In preparation for the yearly movement through the animals, we have a framed red paper cut, from China, adorn the wall just to the left of our front door.

I miss ever so much Liu Ming and his erudite review for the Chinese New Year. Unfortunately is he no longer inhabits a physical form. I am I now rely on Susan Levitt. I frequently reference one or the other of her books (Taoist Feng Shui or Taoist Astrology).
