Today, February 25, 2018, Shasta, the 4 legged member of our pack, is six years old. For those of you knowing the Enneagram, Shasta is a self preservation Six. And for those of you with an understanding of numerology this must be auspicious with a convergence of sixes?
BEing a Water Dragon baby ii is not surprising thawhen she communicated with her interspecies communicator, she asked,"Where has all the water gone?"
Shasta and her pack walking, to celebrate BEing One year old, on the beach at Tomales Bay, California. Her Auntie T joined us for a celebratory picnic in the town of Tomales. |
Sandy explained that while the water (the Pacific Ocean) still exists, she (Shasta) has moved many, many, many miles away from the ocean. Shasta is having a huge adjustment to the dry desert climate and the near 7000 feet elevation. Now that she has been reassured that she is going to continue as a valued pack member, she has blossomed once again into her sweet, exuberant self that all who know her is familiar with.
And here we are on Butterfly Beach, Santa Barbara, California, celebrating my birthday with a week in Santa Barbara. |
And more water: the wetlands below Auntie T's house in Point Reyes Station, California. "I loves my Auntie T," says Shasta. |
Yesterday the awesome woman who negotiated our house buying gave us a House Warming, providing food, flowers and an opportunity for us to meet our neighbors. What a delicious event on so many levels! We found our neighbors to be of diverse age (from nineties to one year old) but with the common denominator of BEing warm, welcoming and full of stories. We feel blessed to BE here in Casa Alegre, more specifically the San Felipe neighborhood of Santa Fe, New Mexico, albeit without water.
